Best Homemade Fried Donuts

Ingredients:

200 ml (6.7oz) WARM MILK
400 g (14.1oz) ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR
40 g (1.4oz) BUTTER
2 tbsp SUGAR
7 g (1 ¼ to 1 ½ tsp) YEAST
1/2 tsp SALT
1 EGG
OIL FOR FRYING
SUGAR FOR SPRINKLING
How to Make:
Step 1: In a large bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, yeast, salt, egg, flour, and butter.
Step 2: Use your hands to knead the dough until well combined.
Step 3: Cover and let it rise in a warm place for about 45 minutes.
Step 4: Divide the dough into 12 equal parts and shape them into round balls.
Step 5: Roll out each ball into a long, thin sausage shape and fold the ends over each other.
Step 6: Continue folding to create a beautifully plaited donut.
Step 7: Cover and let them rest for about 30 minutes.
Step 8: Heat oil for shallow frying in a cast-iron pan over medium heat.
Step 9: Fry the donuts until golden on both sides.
Step 10: Sprinkle with sugar and enjoy these heavenly homemade delights!
