Gooey Chocolate Caramel Delight Muffins


Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup caramel sauce
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/4 cup caramel chips
Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In another bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix well.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the buttermilk, and mix until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips and caramel chips.
Fill each muffin cup halfway with batter, then add a teaspoon of caramel sauce to the center of each.
Top with the remaining batter, filling each cup about three-quarters full.
Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
