Chicken Parmesan Sliders

Ingredients:

12 slider buns
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup Italian breadcrumbs
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 eggs
1 cup marinara sauce
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Fresh basil leaves (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Slice each chicken breast into six equal pieces, then season with salt and pepper.
In a shallow bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.
In another bowl, beat the eggs.
Dip each chicken piece in the egg mixture, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken pieces until golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side.
Place the bottom halves of the slider buns on a baking sheet. Top each with a piece of cooked chicken, a spoonful of marinara sauce, and a sprinkle of shredded mozzarella cheese.
Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly, about 10 minutes.
Remove from the oven and top each slider with fresh basil leaves, if desired. Place the top halves of the buns on the sliders.
Serve immediately.
