Ingredients:

For the Cake:

1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup sour cream
2 tsp vanilla extract
6 egg whites (save yolks for another use)
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp cinnamon
4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup water
For the Frosting:

1 1/2 cups butter
1 1/2 cups shortening
12 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup milk
For the Glaze:

5 tbsp powdered sugar
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon
2 tbsp water
Method:

1️⃣ Prepare Cake: Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add sour cream and vanilla extract, then beat in egg whites. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with milk and water, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Mix until just combined. Pour batter into prepared cake pans and bake according to instructions.

2️⃣ Frosting: In a large bowl, whip together butter, shortening, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and milk until creamy and smooth.

3️⃣ Assembly: Once cakes are cooled, spread glaze over each layer. Then, frost each layer with cinnamon frosting. Stack the layers and finish with frosting on top and around the sides. Optionally, pipe decorations on top.
